After a competition to name the new ASCILITE blog, which was won by Michael Sankey, a long time ASCILITE member, the TELall blog commenced at the end of 2016. The first blog post was by the ASCILITE President Dominique Parrish (University of Wollongong). Since that time the blog has had contributions from 19 academics/professional staff located in Australasia and further afield. Blog posts have been created by authors from a variety of institutions with a total of 14 institutions represented in 2017.
Highlights of the TELall blog include a three part series on digital literacy by Mark Brown (Dublin City University); several posts on learning analytics including one by Mark Nichols (Open University UK) and another from Danny Liu (University of Sydney); as well as some thought provoking posts on learning design including a two part series from Eva Dobozy (Curtin University) and Panos Vlachopoulos (Macquarie University) and a post from Matt Bower (Macquarie University). We have also featured posts on topics related to the new ASCILITE SIGs that were launched at the 2017 conference. These have been authored by Carina Bossu (University of Tasmania) on open education and Julie Willems (RMIT) and Helen Farley (USQ) on the new digital equity and diversity SIG.
Other posts include one from Belinda Tynan (RMIT) who was one of the 2016 conference keynote presenters. Peter Mellow (Melbourne) contributed with an interesting post on indigenous education while Sasha Nikolic (Wollongong) wrote a post on mixed reality pedagogy.
